The Hawaiian Quilt Pattern Digital Collection provides online access to digitized Hawaiian quilt patterns preserved by the BYU–Hawaii Archives. Drawn from two archival collections, the patterns represent the creative work of quilters in the Laie community and support the study, preservation, and continued practice of Hawaiian quilting.
The collection includes patterns created and contributed by Isabella K. Linkee, as well as patterns contributed by several Laie quilters, including Agnes Haiku, C. K. Macfarlane, Martha Pukahi, Elise Sato, Beatrice Tano, and Esther Kekauoha. Each scanned pattern includes its measurements and dimensions, with designs ranging from pillow-sized patterns to bed-cover-sized patterns. Downloadable files may be printed at original dimensions by a large-format print shop. Physical copies are also available for consultation and hand tracing in the BYU–Hawaii Special Collections Reading Room.
