Journal documenting William Alfred Moody’s missionary service, voyages, and travels in Samoa. Entries describe missionary travel among villages, preaching and religious meetings, teaching and language study, baptisms, visits with Samoan families, discussions of religious beliefs and practices, correspondence, and observations of Samoan village life and customs. The journal also contains personal reflections concerning his daughter Hazel, including their separation, correspondence, and his concerns for her welfare.
